I’m Christine! I’m originally from the Chicago area, lived in Nashville for 13 years and now live in Columbus Ohio with my husband, daughter, and our little zoo of two sweet dogs and one cat who thinks he's a dog.

We love traveling, finding joy in visiting new places and logging new experiences. I feel so fortunate to get to incorporate this love for travel into my career, having opportunities to photograph people all around the world. When I'm not planning our next trip together, we're sipping on IPA's at our favorite local breweries, spending time with friends and family, or binge watching the latest netflix original series. I love seeing live music, deep dish pizza (the Chicago girl in me feels reeeeeeallll passionate about this one) and of course, photographing people in love.

I feel passionately that wedding days should be fun, relaxed, and not feel like a production for the sake of good photos. Hiring a trusted photographer allows you to be fully present instead of worrying if a moment was captured. I believe my role is to step in and provide light direction and posing to ensure couples feel confident and relaxed, but more importantly my role is to observe. Weddings are a rare time when all loved ones are in a room together. While the primary focus is always on the couple, there are also so many special moments to be photographed that happen outside of the posed moments. I feel the best way to document a wedding day is by standing back and observing; seeking out moments that are already happening instead of creating a moment for the sake of the photo.

DO YOU SELL ALBUMS?

How far in advance do I need to book?

I book weddings anywhere from a couple months to a year and a half out. I recommend reaching out as soon as possible to see if I have your date available as some of them can fill up pretty quickly - especially Saturdays. Engagement, family and other portrait sessions have a bit more flexibility and can typically be booked much closer to the session date. I still recommend reaching out as early as possible to get on the calendar.

Where do you work? Will you travel for my session / wedding?

I'm based in Ohio, however I travel for weddings upon request. I frequently photograph in Nashville and Chicago, but am happy to go anywhere you'll have me! It's always fun and inspiring for us photographers to shoot in new places. I feel really lucky to have photographed weddings all over the country. Location is no obstacle!

First off, YAY! I am thrilled that you would like to work with me. The first step is to reach out via my contact page if you haven’t already. I ask for a non-refundable 25% retainer fee to reserve the date of your wedding. For engagement, lifestyle and portrait sessions I require a 50% non-refundable retainer fee. If we need to reschedule, this deposit can be applied to another date. Our contract will give more specific details on this.

I do! If you're investing in quality photos from your wedding day, they deserve to be printed and put on display. Heirloom albums are custom designed to fit your style and made with high quality pages built to last. If you, your parents, or another family member or friend would like to purchase an album, please submit an inquiry through my contact form or email me at hello@christinemeyercreative.com for design options and pricing.

How will I get my photos/How long will it take?

Each event is different. For weddings, you can expect your images to be delivered within 4-10 weeks, however you will receive a preview of around 10-15 photos. Portrait sessions can expect a turn around time of 7-14 days. You will receive electronic, downloadable versions of the images with printing rights via an online gallery.

Can I get my photos printed?

Please! These photos are made to printed and hung up on your walls and framed around your home. Printing rights go to all clients. To make it a little easier on you, you can also order prints directly through the online gallery that you receive and have them shipped right to your house (or your parents, friends, etc.) This is the recommended method for printing your photos because they are professional photo printing labs. Unlike your neighborhood Walgreens, they respect the integrity of your photos, giving you true to color, higher quality images.
