I knew the moment when I sat down with Reagan when she had initially reached out looking for a photographer that her and Michael were going to have one heck of a wedding. Reagan and Michael had their wedding ceremony at Scarritt Bennett, a beautiful chapel on Vanderbilt University’s campus. Her little details were perfect and sentimental, including one of the many candles Michael had set up when he had proposed, and a tiny music box with their first dance song. Not to mention Reagan’s incredible jewelry (that RING) and a beaded headband that she switched into for the reception after taking off the veil. Everything about her look came together with her beautiful Justin Alexandar gown.
They also incorporated so many personal elements into their wedding day. Because Reagan and Michael met while singing in a choir together, it was only fitting that they had a choir perform during their ceremony. This cued lots of tears from both the couple and their guests. Reagan’s grandfather also officiated the wedding.
Their reception was at The Frist Art Museum in downtown Nashville. The whole day felt very art-deco, including modern florals from Bloomhouse TN, which fit the theme of the museum perfectly. They served cocktails and dinner in the grand lobby, and then continued the party with dancing in the next door ballroom. We even got to sneak away from the party for a bit to take some photos on their new vespa!
I adored this day. It was such a fun day filled with so many personal touches and sentimental moments.
