I just adore these two. Lauren and Phillip are genuinely some of my favorite people and they have been through a lot of obstacles leading up to their big day. After three wedding dates (thanks Covid) they finally had their dream wedding in June at one of my favorite Nashville wedding venues, Riverwood Mansion.
The day was filled with so much joy and anticipation as they were finally able to celebrate their marriage with family and friends. After having to change their wedding date twice, these two decided to elope at their East Nashville home with just their closest few family and friends. It was such a special, intimate ceremony on a warm, sunny day in November on their rooftop overlooking the city. I had the honor of photographing their engagement, elopement, and now their large wedding celebration, so now these two feel more like friends than clients as we’ve been along this journey together.
We could not have asked for better weather for their June wedding. Riverwood Mansion provides the perfect backdrop for a garden style summer wedding. Lauren’s Sarah Seven dress stunned alongside the classic, upscale theme of the venue. They had the sweetest flower girl and ring bearer too who were making everyone giggle during the ceremony. This day was lighthearted, sweet, and fun. It felt so special to photograph them three times. In spite of all the wedding planning/date change craziness, Lauren and Phillip remained optimistic. I’m so glad they still had their big wedding celebration even after eloping. It took any stress out of the day and allowed them to just enjoy the day they’d waited for for so long.
